CitiesXL.com (CXL) is the official site for Cities XL, a city simulation game by Monte Cristo (creators of City Life), and is run by Monte Cristo. The website was launched on the 13th October 2007 (under the name Cities Unlimited), and when it's first birthday came this year the site got an upgrade. Philippe da Silva is the Internet Director for Monte Cristo and is the most active employee of Monte Cristo on CitiesXL.com.
As of June 17th, 2009, CitiesXL officially opened a closed beta version of the game. Quite a few members of the SC4 Community got a beta key, either through the official lottery or a competition that was held over at Simtropolis.
