RCI stands for Residential, Commercial and Industrial, the main building and zone types in SimCity 4. The RCI Graph depicts the demand for each type in a particular city at the present time. It can be further expanded to view the actual amount of demand, and the wealth/type of the RCI.

RCI can be a useful tool when expanding your city. It tells you from a general perspective what your Sims want and what they don't. Using a highly demanded zone type typically yields much more development than a undemanded zone type.
