City Planning

City planning is a process in which you develop the layout of your region or city. In the real world, it is a field of study and practice in designing the built environment. In SimCity 4, it can take many forms, limited only by your imagination. For some, it consists of sketching out master plans of their regions to guide how they build their cities. For others, it is the in-game laying out of transport networks and civic building structures in your city to give the city's basic shape. Many City Showcases touch on aspects of the city planning that may have gone into the cities on display, and can be a good resource to learn new ideas and methods.
