The Small Fire Station is a Civic Building that provides Fire Protection for your Sims.
Police Stations reduce crime by a variable amount dependent on their funding over a variable radius which can be adjusted using the Vehicle Funding slider in the building's Query Panel.
The Small Fire Station is the cheapest Firefighting solution in SimCity 4, with a monthly cost manageable for most towns, some dispatchable engines and a reasonable coverage area.
It is positioned below both the Large Police Station and Fire Department Landing Strip in Firefighting power and facilities. The Large Fire Station is a direct upgrade.
Bugs
It produces electricity. It probably should not do that.
Trivia
The original name for this building was probably the 2-Engine Station House before being changed to Small Fire Station as its exemplar still contains this name.
